The island of Vir is 26 km away from Zadar, and it was connected with land by a bridge, in 1976.Enchanting and partly yet intact coast of Vir abounds in coves and sandy beaches with crystal clear sea.

In many places, the sea alongside the beach is shallow and therefore ideal for families with small children that can play in the shallows carelessly.

This area is particularly suitable for surfing, whereas the stony coast in the east part of the island abounds in sea benthos and, therefore, represents an appealing diving area for sea-depths enthusiasts.
