The island of Vir is 26 km away from Zadar, and it was connected with land by a bridge, in 1976. Enchanting and partly yet intact coast of Vir abounds in coves and sandy beaches with crystal clear sea.

In many places, the sea alongside the beach is shallow and therefore ideal for families with small children that can play in the shallows carelessly.
